BROADBAND AT SEA, WITHOUT THE LEGACY SATELLITE PRICE TAG

Traditional maritime satellite has always meant slow speeds, high latency, eye-watering monthly costs, and complex hardware. Pacific Concepts Group offers a fundamentally different approach — STARLINK’s low-Earth-orbit network brings broadband-level performance directly to your vessel at a fraction of what conventional maritime systems charge.

From commercial shipping and offshore energy to charter yachts and fishing fleets, our maritime connectivity solutions are designed around how your vessel actually operates — not how a legacy telecom provider wishes you’d operate.

If you operate a fleet of boats and are looking for a streamlined, single-source solution with master billing and one dedicated point of contact, click the Let’s Talk button — and let’s explore how Pacific Concepts Group can simplify your operations. As an authorized reseller, we have the flexibility to design fully custom service packages tailored to your fleet’s specific needs — you are not limited to standardized, off-the-shelf offerings. Because we bill you directly, we can structure a solution that truly fits your operation, not just what’s on the standard menu.

MARINE-QUALIFIED SATELLITE HARDWARE

A Dish That Was Made for the Ocean

The Performance Kit used in maritime deployments is the same ruggedized hardware rated for oil platforms, military vehicles, and SpaceX rocket recovery ships. Its aluminum enclosure, sealed connectors, and IP69K waterproofing make it one of the few commercially available satellite systems genuinely engineered for permanent vessel installation — not adapted from a land-based design.

MARITIME SERVICE PLANS

Global Priority Plans for Ocean Connectivity

All maritime plans run on Global Priority data — the only plan type that provides ocean coverage, in-motion capability at sea, and network priority over standard users. Every plan includes a dedicated public IP address, a real-time fleet management dashboard, priority billing management, and business support. After your Priority Data is used, service continues at reduced speed (1 Mbps down / 0.5 Mbps up) rather than cutting out entirely. Gigabit-capable upgrades are on track for 2026 with no hardware changes required.

Performance Kit: $1,999 one-time hardware cost. Mounting accessories sold separately. Contact 800-985-1450 for multi-vessel fleet pricing and volume discounts.

  • Worldwide Ocean Coverage

Our satellite maritime plans reach international waters across every major ocean and shipping lane — not just coastal zones — giving your vessel a working internet connection wherever your route takes you.

  • Data Continues After Your Limit

Once your monthly Priority Data is consumed, your connection doesn’t go dark. It steps down to a low-speed fallback connection, keeping basic navigation tools, messaging, and safety communications available until you top up or your cycle resets.

  • Fleet Monitoring in One Place

Track every vessel in your fleet from a single web dashboard. Monitor data usage by ship, defer software update reboots to avoid disrupting bridge operations, and make plan changes without touching the hardware.

  • Encrypted Traffic Across the Board

Every byte of data moving across your vessel’s connection is encrypted end-to-end, protecting commercially sensitive communications, crew personal data, and operational information from interception.

  • Network Integration via Ethernet

The Performance Kit connects directly to your existing onboard network via standard Ethernet — no proprietary routers required. It works alongside third-party VLAN, QoS, and SD-WAN configurations for hybrid connectivity setups.

  • Service Level Agreement

Enterprise maritime plans include a 99.9% network availability SLA with service credits for qualifying outages — giving commercial operators the contractual assurance they need for mission-critical deployments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Maritime plans use Global Priority data — the only tier that actually works in the open ocean and international waters. Standard residential or fixed-site plans are geolocked to a service address and stop working once you leave that coverage cell. Maritime plans have no such restriction; they follow your vessel wherever it sails

You’ll need the Performance Kit ($1,999 one-time), which includes the flat-panel phased-array antenna, an Advanced Power Supply that accepts both AC and DC power, 25 meters of Performance Cable, Ethernet cable, power cables, and a mount. The system connects to your existing onboard network via standard Ethernet and doesn’t require proprietary routers.

Your service doesn’t go offline. Once your monthly Priority Data is exhausted, the connection steps down to a low-speed fallback mode — approximately 1 Mbps down and 0.5 Mbps up. That’s enough to keep messaging, navigation tools, and basic operational communications running until you purchase a top-up or your billing cycle resets.

Yes. Global Priority plans support in-motion connectivity at speeds up to 550 mph, which comfortably covers any vessel. The Performance Kit’s phased-array antenna electronically tracks satellites without any moving parts, maintaining lock through pitch, roll, and yaw typical of open-ocean conditions.

Traditional VSAT runs through geostationary satellites roughly 22,000 miles away, which creates high latency and often caps speeds well below 10 Mbps. STARLINK runs through low-Earth-orbit satellites at around 340 miles, cutting the signal travel distance by more than 99 percent. The practical result is broadband-level speeds, usable latency for video calls, and a monthly cost that starts at a small fraction of what enterprise VSAT typically charges.

STARLINK is an internet service and should not be treated as a substitute for dedicated maritime safety equipment. GMDSS-compliant systems (Inmarsat, Iridium) are required for distress and safety communications under international maritime law. We recommend treating STARLINK as your primary broadband link and maintaining EPIRB, VHF, and GMDSS equipment as required by your vessel class and voyage area.

Yes. We specialize in multi-vessel commercial deployments with consolidated billing, volume pricing, and centralized account management. Whether you operate two vessels or two hundred, we can set up a fleet account that keeps every terminal under a single management portal. Call 800-985-1450 for a customized fleet quote.

Actual speeds and coverage may vary based on sea state, location, satellite geometry, and network conditions. Ocean coverage is subject to regulatory authorization and may not be available in all territorial waters. Service plan pricing and data allocations are subject to change. Maritime plans are not a substitute for GMDSS-compliant safety communication systems. Pacific Concepts Group is an authorized reseller of STARLINK business services.
